PC Engine Duo - CD-ROM Repair

NEC PC Engine Duo

The PC Engine Duo arrived in a state not reading CD-ROMs, and its volume dial feels rough and not adjusting the headphone volume. Can barely hear sound.

Diagnosis

Leaky capacitors is a common issue on this model. So the plan is to replace all relevant capacitors in those affected area: audio, CD-ROM drive.

The repair

Replaced capacitors.

Calibrated CD drive.

And later installed the dial. Fully working.
